The IMA Curriculum is predominantly based on Wado-Ryu Karate, one of the four leading Karate disciplines, and Kickboxing. Elements of other Martial Arts such as Muay Thai & Brazilian Ji-Jitsu are also incorporated to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of different styles of Martial Arts. We teach from ages 3+ and have classes for children, adults and families.

The world can be a dangerous place and self-defence plays an important part in staying safe and being a more confident person. Self-defence can help you to defuse and deescalate a situation or to defend yourself and those around you in the safest way possible. Self-defence is important for all age groups and one of the core focus areas of training at IMA.

Personal development can increase your self-awareness, self-esteem and resilience while helping you fulfill your aspirations. At IMA we strive to help students develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.

Optional seminars are delivered over the course of the year giving students an opportunity to try specialised topics like Bo Staff, Escrima, Nunchaku and First Aid.
